If you've been in Guilford a while, then chances are you've met or heard of Eunice Demond. She is the epitome of kindness when it comes to rescuing animals and is always the one we turn to when we've found a stranded baby bunny, bird or critter in our yard. She has saved countless animals in Guilford and now she needs our help with making ends meet.
Last month, while tending to her rescues, she tripped and fell in her yard, breaking her finger in several places. She has been unable to work and is looking at potentially two more surgeries to fix her finger to get her back behind the wheel of bus 14 - her 9 to 5 job.
Since the fall happened during the summer when she wasn't driving, she was without insurance, and is therefore not only facing rising every day expenses but also mounting medical bills.
I hope you will take a moment to give to this incredible member of our community who many kiddos are missing on the bus and who has helped many of us numerous times whenever we have needed her.
Thank you
