Help Eugene Get a New Accessible Van

Donation protected
My name is Eugene, and I was born with a rare condition called myositis ossificans. Over time, my body has been turning into a statue, making it impossible for me to ride in a normal car. I read that 95% of wheelchair users don’t have access to an accessible van, and I am one of them. I do have a van, but it’s worn out and breaks down with almost every use, leaving me stranded and at risk.

Having a dependable van has saved my life more than once. Before I got my van, I was hit crossing the street because my body is like a statue and I have to turn my chair around to look both ways. A new van would give me the independence I have longed for. I may not be able to drive, but at least I’d be comfortable getting where I need to go. My only other option is my wheelchair, and in inclement weather, I can get soaked easily because my body lays flat. This makes travel not only uncomfortable but dangerous. Having a van has made getting around so much easier and a lot safer, plus I could have a lot of amazing experiences because of it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and it would mean the world to me if I received the help I am desperately in need of. Your support would restore my independence, keep me safe, and allow me to participate in important events like my mom’s funeral. Thank you for considering my story and for any support you can offer.
