Hello, my name is Eugene and my wife is Karen, we are reaching out with hopeful hearts and a dream that’s been years in the making.
Like many, our journey has been filled with love, family, and its fair share of challenges. We have a beautiful daughter who lives several states away with her wonderful husband. Together, they’ve brought two precious boys into the world—my grandsons.
The Heartbreak of Distance
But here’s the part that breaks our heart: We’ve never met them. Not even once. We've never been able to hold them, look into their eyes, or hear their laughter in person. It’s not because we haven’t wanted to—it’s because life, and particularly years of extensive medical challenges, has made it nearly impossible.
Years of Health Struggles
Both my wife and I have faced serious health issues over the years. Our days have been filled with doctor visits, treatments, medications, and the emotional and financial weight that comes with them. Every spare dollar we had went into keeping each other going into survival, not travel. While others could take family trips or book a quick flight, we have put dreams like meeting our grandsons on hold.
A Grandparent’s Love, From Afar
Every photo my daughter sends is a gift. Every phone call with their tiny voices on the other end is a treasure. But nothing replaces the real thing—being there. Hugging them. Watching them play. Telling them in person how deeply they are loved.
Now, we are asking for a little help to finally make that trip. We are trying to raise the funds to travel across states to be with them, even if just for a short time. It’s not a vacation, this is a lifetime moment that’s waited far too long.
