We are the Edinburgh University Gospel Choir (EUGC), a student-led choir founded in February 2025. We are the first university gospel choir in Scotland, bringing students together to celebrate the Gospel through music, worship, and community.

In just our first year, the choir has grown rapidly. In November 2025, we held our debut concert, The Gospel Experience, which welcomed over 200 people from across Scotland and beyond. What began as a small group of students with a vision has become a vibrant community rooted in faith, excellence, and unity.

We are incredibly grateful to share that we have now been selected to take part in the University Gospel Choir of the Year (UGCY) competition in London on Saturday 21 March 2026. This is a national platform that brings together university gospel choirs from across the UK, and we are honoured to represent both the University of Edinburgh and Scotland as a whole.

To attend the competition, we will be travelling as a group of approximately 35 students, departing Edinburgh on Friday 20 March and returning on Sunday 22 March. The funds raised through this page will go directly towards essential costs, including travel, accommodation, and local transport in London.

As a student society, many of our members would not be able to take part without financial support. Our goal is to ensure that no one is excluded due to financial circumstances, and that every student who has committed to this journey can represent the choir with confidence.
