A Grateful Close — And A Powerful Beginning
Friends,
In just over 48 hours, you carried us beyond what we ever imagined possible.
Because of your generosity — through donations, prayers, shares, messages, and hands-on help — we raised more than $75,000 to support the recovery of Etta Hills Farm following Winter Storm Fern.
We are overwhelmed. Humbled. Deeply grateful.
After careful thought and prayer, we have decided to close this GoFundMe campaign.
Not because the need was small — but because the response was extraordinary.
What You Made Possible
Winter Storm Fern brought more than three inches of ice to our farm. We lost nearly 1,000 animals, primarily poultry, along with piglets critical to breeding cycles. Egg production from over 2,000 laying hens was significantly reduced. Infrastructure was damaged. Fencing collapsed. Wells and electrical systems failed. Emergency fuel costs alone exceeded $5,000.
Total documented losses surpassed $100,000.
Your support is already being directed toward:
• Replacing lost poultry and rebuilding breeding cycles
• Restoring egg production capacity
• Repairing fencing and storm-damaged infrastructure
• Cleanup and heavy equipment work
• Covering emergency stabilization expenses
• Strengthening systems for long-term resilience
This support has not just stabilized us — it has accelerated us.
This Is Not The End
Please do not see this as the end of something.
See it as the beginning.
What could have been a devastating setback has become a moment of unity and momentum. Through the Grace of God and the strength of this community, we are not just rebuilding a farm.
We are strengthening a movement.
Regenerative agriculture is about restoring land, rebuilding rural economies, and producing nutrient-dense food with integrity. Your support has affirmed that this mission matters — far beyond our fence lines.
We are working harder than ever, and we will steward this blessing carefully. We are committed to growing Etta Hills Farm into something that serves our community and the regenerative movement at levels beyond what we have seen before.
Stay With Us
Please continue following our progress. We will be sharing updates on rebuilding efforts, livestock restoration, infrastructure improvements, and the exciting projects now possible because of your generosity.
We want to hear from you. Your ideas, encouragement, and vision matter. We are all in this together.
A Final Thank You
To every person who donated — thank you.
To every person who shared — thank you.
To every person who prayed — thank you.
To every person who showed up in person — thank you.
And to the linemen, first responders, and military personnel who worked tirelessly to restore power and protect our communities — we are deeply grateful for your service and sacrifice.
Take this fire of generosity and go bless someone else. Support another farmer, a neighbor, a family in need, or an organization working to strengthen our communities and steward this planet well.
From the bottom of our hearts —
Thank you for standing with us.
With humility, resolve, and gratitude,
The Team at Etta Hills Farm
