Earlier this year Ethan went into the doctor because he was experiencing leg pain that wouldn't go away. It was a shock to everybody when he found out that the cause of the pain was actually a tumor pressing against his sciatic nerve. He was diagnosed with a very rare form of liver cancer called Fibrolamellar. The chances of contracting this are 1 in 5 million, only about 200 people worldwide are diagnosed with it every year.
Ethan has been going through chemo treatment, and has a surgery scheduled to remove the largest of the tumors, but we need your help! Not everything will be covered by insurance and it's going to be costly for our family. Any amount, no matter how small is helpful and immensely appreciated, and if you can't donate please share this GoFundMe!
Ethan is a University of North Texas graduate, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biology. His goal is to get a PhD in cancer biology and research cancer treatments. And he's already on his way to that goal because he just recently accepted a job working in a cancer research lab in Dallas.
We know that Ethan is gonna pull through, he's the healthiest 22-year-old I know. Growing up with him I've watched him accomplish so many goals, he's capable of doing literally whatever he puts his mind to. He's the kindest, most determined, and rock-steady person I've ever met.
