Earlier this year Ethan went into the doctor because he was experiencing leg pain that wouldn't go away. It was a shock to everybody when he found out that the cause of the pain was actually a tumor pressing against his sciatic nerve. He was diagnosed with a very rare form of liver cancer called Fibrolamellar. The chances of contracting this are 1 in 5 million, only about 200 people worldwide are diagnosed with it every year.

Ethan is a University of North Texas graduate, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biology. His goal is to get a PhD in cancer biology and research cancer treatments. And he's already on his way to that goal because he just recently accepted a job working in a cancer research lab in Dallas.

We know that Ethan is gonna pull through, he's the healthiest 22-year-old I know. Growing up with him I've watched him accomplish so many goals, he's capable of doing literally whatever he puts his mind to. He's the kindest, most determined, and rock-steady person I've ever met.
