Help Ethan through the loss of his partner Shirin

Donation protected
This is a fundraiser to support my brother Ethan Goddard who tragically lost the love of his life and business partner, Shirin Esfahani, last week to health related issues. Cause of death still unknown. There's nothing worse than having to worry about finances when dealing with the shock of loss like this. I should know as I lost my husband to homicide in May last year and Ethan was a huge source of support for me in my time of need. With his help and the money I got through donations, I was able to take the much needed time off from work for intensive therapy and develop tools for coping with grief and trauma. I now owe it to my brother to help him get the support he needs and deserves.

Ethan had moved states last year to be with Shirin in Los Angeles where they lived together and he was supporting her dream of opening up a hair salon. They had just leased a location and worked full-time on the space that would become their business. It was the happiest healthiest relationship we'd ever seen him in and Shirin's family has been saying the same for her. They were so in love. We were sure they would get married. She even teased about proposing to him in front of us sisters on the trip we had planned just weeks from now. It was a joy to watch Ethan grow as a young man in love. Ethan was a drug counselor for troubled teens for years back in Utah and unfortunately has an unfathomable amount of experience with death for being so young. This has been a complete total shock to us. We were ecstatic about their relationship and how it blossomed so beautifully. He loved learning about and sharing her Persian culture with us. In his last Facebook post he shared:

During our last week Shirin had been singing Persian love songs to me and the expression of love in the lyrics were so profound and vast my heart cup was over-flowing in rich, bounteous love. I felt like I transcended to the highest state of existence.
Nafasamanito.
You are my breath.
Jigaramanito.
You are my liver. (You're vital to me)
To eshgh-e mani,
You are my sunshine.
Deldaram. To hame chize mani.
You're the one who has my heart. You are my everything.
Man Doostet Daram Parisujahn.
I love you Parisu.
May your spirit be with me always.

So let's show Ethan the love he needs right now. The same love he's ALWAYS extending to others. Let's let him know we are here for him. That he deserves time to grieve. That he's not alone. That he is supported. That the way he has always been in constant service of the people around him all his adult life back to our teenage years is being rewarded. He has the hugest heart I know.

We love you Ethan. We're here for you. We'll get through this together.
