Help Ethan Smith Get Back on the Road

Hey everybody, my name is Ethan Smith and I am a freshman attending SEU Ocala. I have been working since I was around 16, and for the last three years, I have been working multiple part-time jobs such as cleaning gutters, washing windows, and doing lawns, hoping that one day I would be able to own my own car. I finally saved enough money to buy my 2014 Mustang and purchased it for $8,300 cash. This was such a relief to my family as we have 5 drivers with school, work, and activities, and we only had 3 cars. I was finally able to get to work and school when I needed to, I was finally able to take my girlfriend out on real dates, and I was just beginning my journey of car modification. I was so incredibly grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for blessing me so abundantly with this car.

Then on November eighth, a Friday night, my dream all came crashing down. I was driving home from work on I-75. I was cruising in the middle lane, attempting to merge into the left lane. I looked behind me to check my blind spot and saw a car coming, so I did not think I had a clear lane. When I turned around, the car in front of me had slowed down way too fast, and I tried to brake, but even with the distance between our vehicles, I didn't have enough time to stop. Our cars collided, and I spun off the interstate at 70 mph and skidded into a ditch. The second I stopped moving, I jumped out of my absolute mess of a car to see if the other driver was ok. Thank God Almighty that they were alright as they did not sustain much damage or any injuries. The driver and his passenger had other drivers come pick them up, and taking their plate and belongings, fled the scene. We later found out that the vehicle was stolen.

All of this aside, I am now left with no vehicle, as things have become much tighter in our family, and I have classes and 3 part-time jobs to work. It is embarrassing to have to reach out like this for help but with insurance issues I have almost nothing left as I just used the majority of my savings to pay for this car. I am fully putting my trust in God and I pray daily that His will be done in this situation, and I am just reaching out in the dark, hoping that maybe someone could relate or find it in their heart to help me out a little bit, so I can get back on the road. Thank you guys so much for everything, whether it be financial aid or even just prayers, and I pray that God will work through this time in my life to inspire others and to grow my faith as well!
