I am currently homeless and facing mental health challenges, but I am determined to keep working and saving for a new home or car. After 11 years at my job, I am doing everything I can to stay strong and not lose hope, even though every week brings new expenses and setbacks. I have been doing everything alone for a long time, never asking for help until now.

Having a home would mean having a safe place to sleep, store food, and cook meals—things that are hard to come by when you don’t have a kitchen or a stable place to live. Right now, I rely on non-cooked food and microwave items, which makes it difficult to stay healthy and feel secure. A car would help me get to work and to the places I need to visit as I try to build myself back up and get ahead in life. Transportation is essential for my independence and for rebuilding my future.

I am reaching out out of desperation, hoping to get my feet back down and create space for myself to improve and grow. I want to build while I can so I’m not stuck, and I know that having a mental health issue doesn’t make things any easier.
