We’re raising funds for a shooting machine to support Ethan’s basketball journey.

I’m sharing this with a mix of excitement and nerves. We’re hoping to raise enough to get a shooting machine for my 11-year-old son, Ethan. It’s around $2,900 — a big investment — but one that could make such a difference in his growth as a player.

Why This Matters

A shooting machine would let Ethan get hundreds of extra reps every session, helping him build confidence, rhythm, and consistency in his shot.

Right now, he shoots for about 45 minutes a day and gets up around 100 shots. With a shooting machine, he could get closer to 500 in that same amount of time. It’s not about fancy equipment — it’s about giving him the tools to keep working hard toward his goals.

Why Ethan’s Dream Is Worth Believing In

Ethan truly loves this game. For the past four years, he’s given up most weekends to play tournaments — sometimes two teams in one weekend — and never once asked for a break. Even when he’s sore or tired, he still wants to be in the gym.

Basketball is more than a sport for him — it’s his joy, his confidence, and his identity. He doesn’t ask for much; he finds happiness in putting in the work and seeing himself improve.

At 11 years old and already 5’11”, Ethan often plays up, sometimes two grade levels. He’s passionate, focused, and driven in a way that inspires everyone around him. I just want to keep nurturing that fire and help him keep dreaming big.

Ethan’s next big goal is the 2026 Nationals in Las Vegas. Last summer, his team made it all the way to Nationals for the first time and earned 3rd place — and ever since, he’s been dreaming of bringing home 1st.

This year is all about preparation — building habits, confidence, and consistency that will carry him there. A shooting machine will help him train with purpose every day, knowing every rep gets him one step closer.
