Ethan has struggled since he was young. Much of his challenges were initially chalked up to being behind in school or not fitting in, but as he’s gotten older, these difficulties have become more pronounced. Over the past three months, Ethan has been in the hospital receiving intensive mental health care. His moods can swing dramatically, and during the lows, he can be aggressive towards us, his parents. Medication plays a huge role in managing his highs and lows. When things are going well, Ethan is wonderful—he can be caring, sweet, and helpful—but when something is off, everything can quickly spiral out of control.

We, Jessica and Adam, are doing everything we can to support Ethan and ensure he gets the help he needs. However, the costs of his care are overwhelming. In order for Ethan to continue receiving the support that’s making a difference, we need help covering his housing and ongoing clinical therapies, including group, individual, and family sessions. The cost of each additional month of care is significant, and we can no longer manage these expenses on our own. We are reaching out to our community for support.
