I'm Ethan Norris, an American citizen from Florida, and I'm currently stranded in Malaga, Spain, after a terrifying and traumatic event. What was supposed to be a new chapter turned into a nightmare when I was brutally attacked by someone I thought was a friend. I was strangled and suffered a broken foot, an assault that left me hospitalized and deeply shaken.

This incident has left me unable to leave Spain. I'm thousands of miles from home, injured, and navigating a foreign legal system while still recovering from the physical and emotional trauma.
