Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters —
My name is Deb, and I’m reaching out on behalf of a truly incredible young man named Ethan. Ethan isn’t my biological child, but he’s every bit a part of my heart. He’s an 11-year-old (almost 12!) who absolutely lives for math, science, and engineering — the kind of kid who lights up when he's solving problems most adults would shy away from.
This summer, Ethan achieved something amazing:
He was accepted into the Virginia Tech Science Camp for rising 7th graders — a prestigious opportunity that could open so many doors for his future.
But there’s a challenge: Ethan’s dad is a devoted single father, and while he’s so proud of Ethan’s accomplishments, the camp costs $1,100 — and unfortunately, when they applied, they missed the chance to request financial aid. Covering this cost simply isn’t possible for their family right now.
That’s where I’m hoping we can come together.
We're trying to raise the full $1,100 to cover Ethan’s tuition for camp, which includes housing, meals, and hands-on learning experiences that will nurture his love for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
Every dollar donated goes directly toward making Ethan’s dream a reality.
Even a small contribution would mean the world to him — and to all of us who believe in him.
If you can give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can’t, sharing this with your friends and networks would be just as wonderful.
Thank you for helping a future engineer, innovator, and world-changer take one step closer to his dreams!
With so much gratitude,
Deb
