Mr. Fidel Estrada Lopez’s family is asking our Galveston Community for help during this difficult time.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share the unexpected passing of Mr Fidel Estrada Lopez on Sunday, Nov 16th, 2025. Fidel was a Father of 4, JAVIER, GLORIA, EDUARDO & GILBERTO ESTRADA.

With all of the emotional pain and stress that death brings, it can also bring financial burdens. We would like to raise money for Mr Fidel Estrada family to help with any funeral expenses and Repatriation to his homeland EL HUAMUCHIL, OAXACA MEXICO.

It is in times of sadness and loss when people can come together to help one another make it through. Any support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Please keep Fidel's family in your thoughts and prayers.

He tragically died following a hit-and-run early Sunday morning, around 6:00am November 16, 2025, on 53rd Street and Avenue R.

Mr. Fidel was on his way to work, riding his bike, when he was struck by a white or silver pickup truck. The truck should have front-end damage, including broken headlights from the impact. The driver kept going toward the Seawall and never stopped to help. A Good Samaritan who witnessed the incident called 911 and stayed with him until help arrived.

Fidel was taken to UTMB around 6:50 AM, but sadly, he did not survive his injuries.

Our family is pleading to come forward with any information that could help identify the driver who failed to stop and help our loved one. Everyone please check your cameras if you live in the area. If you know anything, please reach out to Galveston PD.
