Help Esther Overcome Her Accident
Donation protected
On Sunday, June 2nd, Esther Jordan was hit by a driver of an SUV who ran a red light. Her pelvis was broken in both front & back, three vertebrae are broken, along with her knee, wrist and seven ribs. The soft tissue injuries won't surface for another couple of weeks. She has been in Harborview Emergency Unit for over a week, and has had three surgeries so far. This doesn't address the broken vertebrae in her back or her broken ribs.
To compound matters, Esther is the primary wage-earner for her family of three. She has a teenage son and a husband who is retired and partially disabled. Esther won't be able to walk for at least three months, and will need to have a ramp built in order to go in and out of her home. She very likely won't be able to return to work as a commercial driver, which she had done for over 15 years.
Needless to say her family is still dealing with the shock of this accident, and facing unimaginable financial challenges on top of her long road of recovery.
Those of you who know Esther also know there really is no end to her generosity of spirit. And now it's Esther's turn to receive. She and her family need the support of the community now, as well as in the long term. All donations will go directly to her and her family, and will be received with humble gratitude.
