I am reaching out because my family and I recently lost our home to a devastating fire. Our house was beautiful and new, but in an instant, everything was gone except for our lives and our three lovable fur babies. At 67 years old, I never imagined starting over would be so overwhelming. We are now without a roof over our heads, and just trying to eat is enough of a challenge. My dogs are my family, and I need to keep them fed and safe, especially with the rain and unpredictable weather. They need a kennel to stay dry, and I need help to provide for them as well as myself.


Living in a very rural county in Mississippi makes things even harder. We lost all our belongings, and the bills keep coming even though we have nowhere to call home. Clothing, gas, and basic necessities are a daily struggle. On top of this, I am still grieving the loss of my youngest son and my sister in 2023. Facing another crisis so soon is almost too much to bear. I am doing my best to stay hopeful, but I truly need help to get through this.
