My dad, Estel, has always been the kind of man who stays busy, enjoys being outdoors, and values his independence. Living in the mountains of East Tennessee, he’s spent years getting out, visiting people, and simply enjoying the freedom of being able to go where he wants, when he wants.
Recently, that changed.
Due to his age and health, he has had to stop driving. While that might not sound like much to some, it has taken away a huge part of his daily life. Out here in the mountains, everything is spread out, and not being able to drive can quickly lead to feeling isolated and stuck at home. It’s been hard watching someone who has always been active and independent suddenly lose that freedom.
We’re hoping to give a small part of that independence back to him.
Our goal is to raise enough to get him a golf cart or side-by-side so he can safely get around again, whether that’s getting outside, riding around the property, visiting nearby family or neighbors, or simply enjoying the mountain air like he always has. This isn’t just about transportation, it’s about restoring a sense of freedom, dignity, and quality of life.
If you know Estel, you know he’s not someone who would ever ask for help. That’s why we’re stepping in to do this for him.
Any support, whether through donating or simply sharing this, means more than we can say. Thank you for helping us give Estel a little piece of his independence back.
