The devastating LA fires have put us in a tough spot. Even though we’re not in the immediate fire zones, the ripple effects are hitting us hard. With dangerous air quality keeping riders off their bikes and people holding tightly to their money during this uncertain time, our daily earnings have dropped to just a few dollars. Bills are piling up, and we’re struggling to keep our doors open.

At the same time, we’ve been organizing donation drives since 1/08, to help those directly impacted by the fires because that’s what community means to us. But now, we need to ask for your help to ensure Esquina can survive this crisis.

Esquina has always been more than just a bike shop—it’s a community hub, a family business, a “third space” where people gather, connect, and feel at home. Beyond selling and fixing bikes, we’ve created a space where friendships are built, ideas are shared, and our neighbors can come together. We’ve hosted group rides, supported local youth, art galleries, fundraisers and worked to bring joy to Boyle Heights through cycling.

We need your help to keep Esquina alive. Your support will allow us to:

• Cover rent and operational costs during this difficult time

• Pay our employee, sustain our families

• Remain a welcoming third space for those who rely on us for connection and support
