Urgent: Help Save Esperanza – A Hit-and-Run Survivor in Tulum

Hello, beautiful hearts,

Yesterday morning (Jan 1st), while having breakfast at a café, we witnessed a moment of heartbreaking cruelty. A dog was hit by a car, and the driver sped away without a second glance, leaving her screaming in pain on the street.

No one else stepped in. She lay there, helpless and unable to move. We couldn't leave her.

After rushing her to multiple clinics, we found a vet open. The diagnosis is severe: both of her hips are broken. She’s on painkillers now, but her survival depends on surgery. The vet estimates the cost for this life-saving operation and her month-long recovery at 1,000 USD.

We’ve already paid $167 USD from our own pockets for the emergency exam, pain relief, X-rays, and to keep her safe. But we cannot cover the surgery alone.

We are naming her *Esperanza*, for the light we hope she’ll see again.

We are at a crossroads. The vet says she can have a full, happy life after this surgery. We believe her life is worth saving. But we need your help.
