Help Esme Study Abroad!

Hi I'm Esme De Melo Garner!

I'm currently studying History and American Studies at the University of Manchester. Through my course I've been given the opportunity to study abroad in the United States. Specifically at the prestigious Wellesley College in Massachusetts, which is the state my mum is from!

This is a no brainer of an opportunity considering the fact that I spend so much of my time studying America and the huge discount I get by attending through the University of Manchester (tuition for a regular Wellesley student would be around $40,000 per term.)

Despite this discount attending Wellesley is still going to be hugely expensive for me. Accommodation, food and flights all have to come out of my own pocket. I will be going to America in January 2026 so need to raise these funds before that point.

I'm going to need around $15,000 to fund it all with about 5k of that being covered by my maintenance loan. I've been working a variety of jobs (makers markets, selling merch at concerts and dog sitting just to name a few) in order to fund this opportunity. But every little helps get me just one step closer to my goal.
