Hello, my name is Esau Kerr. I come from Jamaica, where most of my family, including my son Oral, three of my grandchildren, and my great-grandson, still reside in a small Jamaican village called "Belmont." The village of Belmont is situated in the southwestern part of the island and was so devastated by Hurricane Melissa that it took days before we were able to receive information and assess the extent of the damage.
We are posting pictures of the devastation. My wife, Mary, and I cannot watch our family struggle to survive the aftermath of this huge storm. We need to go to Jamaica to bring funds, equipment, and materials so that our family and friends can get a head start on repairs.
Most of the villagers are homeless, and several are injured. Hurricane Melissa has not only devastated our lovely village; it has destroyed a way of life.
Without our help, the village and all our dear family members will never be able to recover.
Mary and I find ourselves needing your help so that we can in turn help them. Please join us to assist them in moving forward with their recovery. Any small donation would be much appreciated. Every cent will go into rebuilding and helping our Jamaican family recover from one of the worst hurricanes of this century.
Thank you all in advance.
You will be able to visit us there and see all the good things your assistance has created.
Schools and churches are all welcome to adopt this project as their own.Families too are invited to take this opportunity to donate, showing their kids the fruits of their generosity .
By focusing on such a worthy cause this is a unique chance to allow an American family , and groups of individuals, the empathy-building effects of helping others in need.
Thank you all,
big love..
