I'm Sarah, a dear friend of Eryn Sullivan. She's been a part of our family ever since we met her at my daughter's first day care years ago.

About a week ago, Eryn had a really scary accident at the river that left her with some big wounds. The doctors there told her they weren’t just trying to save her leg, but also her life.

She had her first surgery, where doctors had to remove tissue that had been destroyed by a rare bacteria from the river. It was literally eating away at her. They had to clear out everything around her heel and work on her achilles tendon, which they’re hoping they’ll still be able to save.

Right now, Eryn has a wound vac to help with healing, and this is really just the start of her journey. It’s overwhelming, but she’s hanging in there and taking it one day at a time with her always joyful and strong heart.
