We are Ernst Gunther (72) and Lindy von Harringa (69), founders of Bible Ministries International (BMI). For over 50 years, we've dedicated our lives to spreading biblical literacy worldwide. Since 1978, we've raised 15 children and are blessed with 16 grandchildren. Now, we face a crisis that threatens our ministry and our health.
Why We Need Help:
Ernst recently suffered a mini-stroke (TIA) and needs urgent surgery for a clogged carotid artery.
We've fallen behind on mortgage, utilities, car payments, and insurance due to our nonprofit's financial struggles.
Our large family is facing multiple challenges:
We lost a child to suicide in 2012.
Our 25-year-old daughter with schizophrenia requires institutional care.
Another daughter, mother of two of our grandchildren, was recently diagnosed with alopecia universalis, losing all her hair.
