Right here in our community, a family is facing a life-changing moment that no one could have prepared for.

Ernie Wrightington is the kind of man many of us know and respect—a hardworking, dedicated father who has spent his life putting his family first. He’s always been the one others could count on, quietly doing what needed to be done to support his family.

In March, his son Tyler celebrated his 30th birthday—a milestone that should have marked a new chapter. But just weeks later, everything changed in an instant. Tyler suffered a bilateral stroke, leaving him unable to care for himself and turning everyday life into an uphill battle.

Without hesitation, Ernie dropped everything. He left work immediately to be at Tyler’s side, stepping into the role of full-time caregiver overnight. Now, he is not only caring for Tyler but continuing to support his household—all without an income.

The reality is heartbreaking: a father doing everything he can to hold his family together, while facing mounting bills, uncertainty, and the emotional weight of seeing his son fight to recover.

This is where our community—and anyone willing to help—can make a real difference.

We’re asking for support to help Ernie cover essential living expenses, medical-related costs, and the day-to-day needs that don’t stop, even in the middle of a crisis. This will allow him to focus on what matters most: being there for Tyler.
