I’m Amy and I’m a hairstylist at Fringe & Flora, asking for your help to provide my dear friend and coworker some much needed relief.

If you’re lucky enough to know Erin, you know what an incredible hairstylist, community member, and friend they are.

Over this past year, Erin has genuinely endured more hardship than one person should have to go through in a lifetime.

To name a few: broken foot, fractured back, car accident, divorce, the loss of both beloved pets within 6 months of each other (many of you knew Seymour; everyone’s favorite tiny dog and Erin’s #1 sidekick).

Back in October, they were arrested protesting outside of the Broadview ICE detention center, consequently throwing court dates and legal fees in the mix (this is ongoing) — and as of two days ago, Erin is now also grieving the sudden and unexpected loss of their mother.

This is all to say: they deserve a break.  Erin unfailingly shows up for their clients, loved ones, community; it’s time for us to show up for them.

They deserve a solid month off without needing to worry about bills, food, rent, and have space to grieve. 

There are so many worthy causes to contribute to during this dark time, so if you’re spent or can’t spare anything, please feel encouraged to share.
