Help Erin Fight ALS: Get Her a Disability Van
Donation protected
Hello friends, please help Erin Get a Van!
At age 22, Erin started noticing her right hand was getting weak. That was her first symptom. Now, she requires a full-time caregiver (Lily, her mom) as she progresses towards paralysis. It’s not pretty, and there needs to be a cure. Lou Gehrig was diagnosed 80 years ago, and there’s still no hope for those diagnosed.
ALS is a disease that takes away your life, a life that Erin was just beginning. She had just graduated college with a degree in botany and was working her first job towards becoming botanist. That’s when the symptoms became noticeable. Erin found herself lagging behind her coworkers and struggling to keep up with the work. Eventually, there was that doctor appointment with a neurologist… it didn’t go well. Erin was diagnosed with a monster of a disease, ALS, medically known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
There are so many struggles when caring for someone, many of them financial. Part of that financial burden is transportation; it’s actually a very big part. In an effort to help Erin and possibly others, we aim to get Erin a van that she can use to get to her doctor appointments, therapies, and just live some semblance of a normal life.
Even just a small donation helps. It all adds up. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
