Story

We all have been hoping Erin Fritz could meet her prince charming for years. In 2024, she did, Francis Blackwood, a man whose heart is as big as hers. He makes her smile and feel loved. Francis is a devoted father to 3 children. Francis recently had an emergency medical concern and is critical condition in the Aspirus ICU. The life-saving efforts included Francis receiving 44 units of blood and a few surgeries, which successfully stopped his bleeding. As we are writing this today, Francis is coming off his sedation, a long process that has everyone on pins and needles. His 18-year-old son Matt and Erin have been his constant support. Erin needs to take leave from work to help him and does not have the PTO bank to support this time off. Francis will have recovery expenses. We are asking for her friends and family to donate as they can to allow her the time to be there for Francis and for Francis to get the follow-up care he will need. For those who are not able to financially support, we are asking for you to donate a unit of blood at a local blood bank in his honor. He would not be here today without that valuable resource.
