Aloha, my family was affected by the Kona low storm on March 13. Our home in North Kihei flooded, leaving us to abandon our place in the middle of the night with our 4 young children. We managed to clean up the house and come back only to discover that we now have to replace all of our flooring and some of the wall in order to clean and reduce our risk of mold exposure. This will cost us somewhere around $20,000. We also need to replace some of our furniture that was damaged during the storm.
