My name is Erika and on Christmas Day, my family experienced something terrifying: a house fire.

Our next-door neighbor's house caught fire and before it could be put out, it spread to our house. Thankfully, we all made it out, but now we are looking at 4-6 months without a home.

Being without a place to call home is hard enough with two teenagers but throw in two cats and two dogs and things get so much harder.

We are lucky to have an amazing community behind us and appreciate everything people have done and offered.
