My niece, Erika, is a beautiful young woman with an earnest and sincere heart. She will give you the shirt off her back, even if it's her favorite one. She is a graphic and web designer who was running her business, Kingdom Innovative Prints Design Firm,  out of a 1-bedroom apartment that she quickly outgrew. 

She was sooo excited when she shared that she'd found a house and that she was moving in within a few weeks. Along with other family members, I was present in her home, celebrating her move on this most recent holiday. The house was beautiful, and it provided her with office space, design space, a full kitchen, and much more.

Erika did not live in the house for a whole week before a fire ravaged her new home, causing her to lose clothing, shoes, and other valuables due to fire, water and/or smoke damage.
