My name is Erika and I'm a single Mom to 2 amazing young men. Anything that I do, I do for them! Over the past 10 years, life has thrown some unexpected curve balls, and even though times have been tough, we have always made it through! Those of you that know me, know that I've been working on trying to get my car road worthy. It has taken me way longer than expected and has caused large amounts of stress to be added to my everyday life. Unfortunately after I purchased my vehicle, I snapped my wrist into 3 and had to undergo surgery which put me out of work for a good long while. Then covid hit and caused a whole different set of problems for everyone. Just when I thought I had my finances under control, to be able to get my car situation taken care of, the boys and I experienced another setback... a flood. Our pressure valve went bad in the house that we live in, and because of that, we ended up with hundreds of thousands of gallons of water poured under our home. Even though we rent our home, I solely was responsible for the outrageously high utility bills. That unforseen issue set me back from being able to get my car road worthy any time soon. Anyone who knows me, knows that I absolutely HATE asking for help! With the encouragement and support from my work family and friends, I've decided to accept the fact that it is completely OK to ask for help. I'd like to thank everyone for taking the time to read my story. I am truly grateful, thank you! <3
