Unfortunately, Erika Forsberg’s cancer is terminal and she has approximately 6 months to a year to live. We are completely shocked & devastated.

I am Erika's mother and will be handling funds for her and will disperse them as needed for whatever she may need.

Erika was diagnosed with Adrenal Corticol Carcinoma in July but spent over 2 months in the hospital prior to her official diagnosis. ACC is an extremely rare & aggressive cancer that affects only 1 in 1,000,000 people per year!

She had surgery on August 1 to remove the tumor and her adrenal gland, but it has now metastized to other organs and is stage 4.

Her oncologist informed us that even with chemotherapy treatment it would only extend her life a few extra months and she would have debilitating side effects from it.

As a self employed Pittsburgh real estate agent, Erika has not worked for over 6 months during her illness and has incurred a large amount of medical bills. She also owns her home and is paying on a mortgage, but her savings are depleting fast since she has had no income the last 6 months. Any funds raised will provide her the help to keep her home & take care of bills that are piling up, along with day to day living expenses. If Erika decides to pursue alternative treatments, these funds will also help her to do that.

For those of you who know Erika, traveling is one of her greatest passions. She loves nature & the outdoors & we would love to provide her with the trip of a lifetime with some of these funds. She is considering a trip to Europe if her condition would allow it. Her 30th birthday is November 29 and we would love to enjoy a trip with her to celebrate.

If you would feel so inclined to donate, we will use these funds to make Erika’s final months as comfortable for her as we can financially & medically and to also allow her to spend some much needed time with family for the trip of a lifetime wherever she chooses.
