Erik has been hospitalized for the last 8 days due to a severe injury to his spine, which is causing spinal cord compression. He has lost the ability to walk and is currently facing permanent paralysis.

He urgently needs surgery to restore his mobility and prevent a lifelong disability. However, to keep his medical coverage active while he is unable to work, his health insurance premiums must be paid out of pocket every week. He is also unable to provide for his family while in this condition.
