I never imagined I would be writing something like this. My son, Erik Thomas II, was a passenger in a horrific fiery crash involving an SUV and semi-truck. The SUV caught fire, and it was the kind of accident people don't usually walk away from—but somehow, he and everyone involved survived. But surviving was only the beginning. He suffered severe injuries, including a broken femur, a broken wrist, a broken nose, and burns on his face, hands, and legs. He is in pain, unable to work, and facing a long road of surgeries, rehabilitation, and healing. And while he is fighting to recover, he is also a father to a 15-month-old baby who needs him. Right now, everything has been turned upside down. The medical bills are already piling up. He has no income, and the stress of trying to provide for his child while he can't even walk or use his hands properly is overwhelming. As his parent, it's incredibly hard to watch. I would take his place in a heartbeat if I could—but since I can't, I'm asking for help. We are raising funds to help cover emergency and ongoing medical expenses, physical therapy and rehabilitation, basic living expenses while he cannot work, and support for his baby during this time. If you can give, please know that any amount truly matters. And if you can't, sharing this could reach someone who can. Please keep Erik in your prayers as he fights to heal and rebuild his life after this traumatic accident. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time.
