On April 23, 2025, our dear friend Erik was involved in a serious car accident when another vehicle unexpectedly drifted into his lane, colliding with his car and launched him off the road. The impact was so severe that Erik had to be extricated from the wreckage and life-flighted to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

Since then, Erik has undergone multiple surgeries — and he still faces several more in the weeks ahead. His recovery will be long, painful, and filled with challenges, both physically and financially.

Erik is a beloved substitute teacher and has been a dedicated high school football coach for over a decade. He’s known for his big heart, sharp sense of humor, and deep compassion for the students and community he serves. Whether on the field or in the classroom, Erik always shows up for others — now it’s our turn to show up for him.

This fundraiser is to help cover Erik’s medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and living expenses as he navigates the long road ahead. Any amount you’re able to give will help ease the burden and allow him to focus on healing.
