Help Erik Fight Back Post Aneurysm Rupture
Donation protected
Life can change in an instant! On the night of June 5th, Erik suffered a seizure-like episode. He was unresponsive for several minutes. When he came to, he had no recollection of the episode and stated that he just had a headache. A week before he had started to feel similar headaches, but thought it was due to allergies or heat exhaustion. Come to find out, Erik had an aneurysm in his head that started to leak.
On the night of June 5th, Erik had a Left Internal Carotid Artery Aneurysm that suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage causing him to bleed into his brain. He was transferred from Everett Hospital in ambulance to Beth Israel so that he could see a neurospecialist. On June 6th they performed an endovascular coiling surgery to repair the rupture and he has been in the Intensive Care Unit ever since (Today is June 21st). In addition to this, while performing the surgery the doctors found two more aneurysms that will have to be worked on at a later time.
The medical bills are already starting to roll in and it will be awhile before Erik can fully return to work. These funds will help cover his medical bills and everyday expenses until he can get back on his feet. We are extremely grateful to still have him here with us however we also know that this is going to be a long journey.
Any amount that you can donate will take that much more weight of stress off of Erik so that he can focus on his recovery.
