I am Diandrea, Erik's sister-in-law. I am setting up this page to help out Katelyn and Erik.
Erik is currently in the ICU with various concerns including moderate to severe pneumonia.  How did he get there? Here's a little background information. Erik started getting sick in January 2021 with what seemed to potentially be severe allergies or something like that.  Erik continued to see doctors when new things would start to happen and by May 2021, Erik was stepping away from his full-time job to try to take care of the kids and heal. Erik and Katelyn have been to various doctors, specialists, and hospitals trying to figure out what has his body slowly deteriorating. Erik has been diagnosed with amyopathic dermatomyositis about a month ago and has started treatment. However, treatment can take months to see some improvement and his body still needs to heal. With the current ICU stay and the various other hospitalizations that have occurred, medical bills are starting to pile up while Katelyn tries to still work while taking care of their two children and Erik. If you are able to help offset some of these expenses, it would be greatly appreciated. Prayers are greatly appreciated, as well.
