Hi, my name is Erik Calhoun and last Sunday, 01/04, I saw a Facebook post about a lost dog that had been spotted multiple times in the days prior up on Wagner Creek Rd. in Talent, Oregon.

I grabbed a buddy and we went up there to see if we could find him, and he was actually right there where they said he’d be in the post. After about 30 minutes of coaxing with food and water, we were able to get him to load up in my truck and we headed down the hill. We got him scanned for a chip, which he doesn’t have. We made a report with Jackson and Josephine County Animal Services, we’ve posted in the lost animal Facebook pages, and put a FOUND DOG sign on Wagner Creek Rd. in hopes of finding the owners. No luck so far, but still hopeful to find them.

My wife Kacey and I have been torn about whether or not to find a foster for him, keep him, or foster him here for a time because we have 2 other dogs and it’s been tough on all 3 of them to get to know each other and be calm and comfortable. He’s a good boy and we don’t want to give up on him. Financially, we’re stretched thin with kids, pets, bills, and we’re starting a new business. We could use some monetary help with buying food for him for a time and some initial veterinary care. We are still unsure if we’re going to keep him permanently, but this would help us get to the point where we can make that decision.

Thank you for any consideration.
