On Friday, my brother Eric was in a serious rollover crash while traveling through Utah with a friend. Thankfully, his friend—who sustained less severe injuries—has been discharged and is now recovering at home. Eric, however, was seriously hurt and underwent major back surgery. The procedure was urgent and intensive, and his road to recovery is just beginning.

Today, Eric is being transferred to the neurosurgical rehab floor to begin his intensive physical therapy. We’re hoping in about a week he’ll be moved closer to Colorado to continue healing in more familiar surroundings.

We’re doing everything we can to support him through this incredibly difficult time. We’re raising funds to help cover his rent while he’s unable to work and to secure the in-home aides, medical supplies, and equipment he’ll need for day-to-day care. We’re also making sure his dog, Bingo—who’s still in Colorado—is safe and cared for until Eric can return home.
