Help The Longsworth Family Recover from Eaton Fire Tragedy

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

My name is Jocelyn, and I’ve called the beautiful city of Altadena home for my entire life. Nothing could have prepared us for the devastation brought by the Eaton Fire. In a single night, nearly all the Altadena and Pasadena residents affected lost their homes and everything they had worked so hard for.

I’m starting this fundraiser for myself, Eric and his family- the Longsworth’s . We had little time to save anything as the entire city was ordered to evacuate immediately. Cherished belongings, irreplaceable memories, and even childhood photos were destroyed.

Like so many of us in Southern California, we’ve experienced wildfires before, but nothing could have prepared us for the scale and speed of this tragedy. Within minutes, houses, apartments, and businesses were engulfed in flames. Cars exploded, and the beautiful trees that surrounded our community were reduced to ashes in seconds.

We are now reaching out for support to help us get back on our feet. The donations we receive will go toward any needs we need that might not be covered by other sources of aid like:

Food and water

Clothing

Personal necessities (such as toiletries)

Temporary housing

Unfortunately, we’re also navigating issues with the property management at our apartment complex. Instead of providing assistance, they’ve asked us to sign documents relinquishing the apartment, something we’re determined not to do.

This tragedy has reminded us how fragile life can be and how quickly everything we hold dear can vanish. Yet, amidst this loss, we are grateful beyond words to be alive and together. Family is what matters most, and we’re holding onto that.

Mi nombre es Jocelyn y he llamado hogar a la hermosa ciudad de Altadena durante toda mi vida. Nada podría habernos preparado para la devastación que trajo consigo el incendio de Eaton. En una sola noche, casi todos los residentes de Altadena y Pasadena afectados perdieron sus hogares y todo por lo que habían trabajado tan duro.

Estoy iniciando esta recaudación de fondos para mí, mi novio y su familia, los Longsworth. Tuvimos poco tiempo para salvar algo, ya que se ordenó la evacuación inmediata de toda la ciudad. Sus preciadas pertenencias, recuerdos irremplazables e incluso fotos de la infancia fueron destruidas.
