Hello friends, old and new —

My name is Ericka McCarty (KB4TJJ) — a Tennessee-born organist, trauma survivor, and lifelong keeper of the line.

For decades, I endured profound abuse — including crimes so severe they meet international war crime standards. I survived attempted murder by my adopted brother, psychological torture, and institutional cover-ups that forced me into silence behind an illegal NDA.

But silence didn’t win:

I did.

I found my signal — through music, Morse code, and the courage to tell my story publicly.

In June, I unlocked a buried memory through a 17-minute organ improvisation that used CW code to rewrite a brother’s promise to kill me into my victory: V for Victory, CQ for “Calling All Stations.”

Since then, I have been working with professionals — including Maestro Lucas Richman and the Trauma Research Foundation — to show how music, radio, and honest witness can break hush for others, too.

The final battle:

For years, my mother controlled my finances as my government-appointed payee — she exploited that power and left my credit ruined. I reported her for representative payee abuse on May 19, 2025, and Social Security finally removed her and made me my own payee on May 23 — but the government’s process has been painfully slow.

Though individual SSA agents have been kind, every call brings a new answer about when my rightful funds will reach my account. Meanwhile, I have been forced to scrape by alone, living in my car, paying for safe rooms when possible, and watching my credit sink deeper while I keep my freedom.

The good news:

I have been accepted to the Université de Rouen in France — my true home — where I will build a safe foundation to continue this work, write my recovery literature, and help others find their own freedom.
