Hello! My name is Erick Moreno and I’m 26 years old from Missouri City, Texas, this past year I was diagnosed with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) and had to get started on dialysis, as grateful as I am that there’s a machine that can help clean my blood and do what my kidneys aren’t able to do, only people who have or are in my position can agree that it’s not fun at all. I’ve noticed that my energy has gotten really low since starting dialysis, I wake up tired almost everyday but I try to stay as positive as I can. Aside from how tiring ESRD can be, it can also be very expensive, I’ve had to change my chest catheter two times because it wasn’t working, and that has been a bit pricey, I also haven’t been able to work as much as I can due to fatigue and not having enough energy, I’m blessed to have a family that loves me and are able to support me as much as they can, but there’s only so much they can do since we all have our own expenses and lives. I’ve been having issues with my insurance for the past couple of months regarding my fistula surgery, thankfully I will have my surgery on January 22nd 2026. With that being said I have to be out of work for a while and expenses pile up super fast, if you’re able to donate anything or even just share this, I would really appreciate it!
