My nephew Erich has faced challenges since the day he was born. Due to complications at birth, he suffered brain damage from a lack of oxygen, and as a result, he functions at different levels, ranging from 12 to 44 years of age. Erich cannot live on his own and has needed support throughout his life. Three years ago, he lost his mother, which brought him even more heartache and made life even more difficult for him.

Erich hasn't seen my dad's side of the family since 2002. After more than 20 years apart, I want to bring him here to Pleasant Hill, MO, so he can reconnect with family who loves and misses him dearly. This visit would mean the world to Erich and to all of us, giving him a sense of belonging and support during a difficult time in his life. Erich would be extremely happy to see everyone again and to feel the love and support of his family.
