Hello, my name is Erica. 6 weeks ago I was having a completely normal day, and next thing I know I fainted out of the blue. Not knowing at the time how much things were going to change from then.

After a couple of ER trips, different hospitals, and specialists, I was diagnosed with something I've never heard of. It's called Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. I have a severe case, which is the cause of the extreme pain I have lived with every day since day 1. Last week Nov 18th, I had a full abdominal hysterectomy.

One day I'm a full-time working busy mom. The next day I become so sick and/or in pain, I can't get out of bed. But not only did PCS affect my life, it's affected my family's. Unfortunately, only a few months ago I had changed careers and started at a new company. I had not been working there long enough to qualify for FMLA or benefits like time off. So, I lost my job due to missed sick days and having to be off 6-10 weeks for recovery.

I'm asking for help. In any way, even if through your thoughts and prayers. Losing my income is devastating to my household. We never imagined all of a sudden I would be unemployed, let alone this time of year, and for 3 months. I will be looking for a new job while recovering from this major surgery. I can only hope I'm blessed with finding something around the time I'm released to go back to working.
