Help Erica’s Dreams Come True

Hello, as you all may know, Erica Adamec, mother of twin boys and beloved by many, recently ended her fight with lung transplant rejection, which stems from covid-19 complications. I, Christopher Gossett, am starting this fundraiser to help her last wishes and dreams come true.

Erica was diagnosed with covid-19 in June of 2020 and was admitted to the hospital on June 26th. Within a short time the doctors had her intubated. It quickly became apparent that intubation wasn’t enough to keep her breathing function normal. It was decided that she be put on a life saving blood oxygenating machine, which she was on for several months. Eventually, Erica qualified for a double lung transplant and successfully had this surgery in October of 2020. She returned home to a relieved family in January of 2021. Unfortunately, within several months her body began rejecting her new lungs. Erica’s body eventually succumbed to the rejection and she lost her battle with it on September 19, 2021. She is dearly missed, loved, and mourned by so many friends and family whose lives she has touched with her kind heart and loving spirit.

Erica’s favorite thing in life was being a wonderful and loving mother. She wanted nothing more than for our sons, Christian and Reign, to be loved, safe and successful in their own lives.

Any donations received will be applied towards a celebration of life gathering held in her Phoenix home as well as the added household costs incurred from the loss of Erica. Most importantly, any donations will go directly to the well-being and education of Christian and Reign. Their education was the most important thing to Erica.
