Help Support Erica, She's Having Reduction Surgery!
Donation protected
Medically necessary and gender affirming care is finally on the horizon! I have been needing a breast reduction since the boob fairy was much too generous with me as a teenager. It's been difficult to carry these things around and fully participate in a lot of things my friends and peers do: running, shopping for clothes, wearing bathing suits, wearing formal wear, etc. Also not having headaches after wearing a sports bra for more than 30 minutes will be so awesome! I've tried to make them appear smaller for ages and they haven't gone away! Weird. Also, yes! my back does hurt, all the time! It's also been a big pain to have these boobs get in the way while living daily life, but more than anything, performing. I play the bass for a living and damn, it cuts right across the chest and totally sucks. It's uncomfortable to do my favorite thing.
I am very lucky to finally have insurance approve this surgery after YEARS of trying and it's happening on Dec 30th! I'm coming into 2025 as part of the tiny titty committee! Woohoo!!
Even with coverage it's still quite expensive, plus, the healing time is about 4-6 weeks, which means I won't be able to make my usual income while I'm resting and healing. Funds will be going toward the cost of surgery, medical bills (like labs and imaging), medical supplies, and living expenses while I'm unable to work.
Oh, boy do I feel so vulnerable and nervous asking for help, but this is the nature of our healthcare system and I wish it wasn't so damn expensive. Any amount of help is super appreciated and thank you if you've read this far. Lots of love and big gratitude.
Xoxo,
Erica
