My name is Erica, and I’m a single mom doing everything I can to provide for my 2.5-year-old daughter. Back in October, I lost my job, and since then, it’s been a daily struggle to keep our lives together. I recently started a new job, but it pays less than what I was making before, and I’ve fallen behind on bills. I’ve been paying what I could, borrowing from anyone willing to help, just to keep our home and utilities turned on.

Now, I’m facing the very real possibility of losing our home. If I can’t come up with enough money to catch up on house payments, my daughter and I will have nowhere to go and no one to stay with. The thought of not being able to provide a safe place for her is terrifying, and I’m reaching out for help because I don’t know what else to do.
