Erica and her mother Diana have been homeless since August 3rd, 2025, after a difficult family situation forced them to leave their home. Since then, they have been living in their car, struggling to find safety and comfort. The constant stress and lack of proper shelter have taken a toll on their health, especially for Erica, who has been dealing with swelling from sleeping in the car and ongoing pain from a recent car accident. In January, Erica was hit from behind and recently underwent a procedure on her back. Sleeping in the car has made her recovery even harder, and both Erica and Diana are finding it increasingly difficult to manage their health and daily needs.

Most of the funds raised will go toward hotel rooms, which provide a safe place to sleep and much-needed relief from the physical pain and discomfort of living in a car. Erica and Diana are also hoping to cover basic necessities like food and transportation while they work toward finding permanent housing. Unfortunately, they were recently denied an apartment because of bills in collections, making their path to stability even more challenging.
