In October, my mom Erica Beck suffered a hemorrhagic stroke that changed her life in an instant. Since then, she has been in the hospital, fighting every day to recover both mentally and physically. While she focuses on healing, the world outside hasn’t paused—her regular bills and new medical expenses continue to arrive. I’ve been doing everything I can to help cover her obligations, but I’ve reached a point where I can no longer manage her finances on my own.
Erica was on FMLA through her work, but that is ending soon, which means she will have no income. She is working on getting Medicaid and disability, but those payments must go entirely toward her treatment, leaving nothing for her other bills. One of my biggest worries is her mortgage—if it goes unpaid, she could lose her home and have nowhere to return to when she leaves the hospital.
The funds raised here will go directly toward her bills, especially her mortgage, so she has a safe place to come home to as she continues her recovery. If you have the means to do so, donating is greatly appreciated. We are grateful for any and all donations. Even if you can’t give, spreading the word and keeping Erica in your thoughts means so much to us. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
