Hi, my name is Erica, and I’m in the fight of my life.

I’m currently battling multiple myeloma, a rare and aggressive blood cancer. After enduring multiple treatments that haven’t worked, I’ve now entered my third treatment plan — and I’m currently hospitalized in the UNC Cancer Center in Chapel Hill as my doctors search for a path forward. This journey could still take 6 months to a year or more.

I’ve always worked hard and taken pride in taking care of myself and my loved ones. I’ve also been a faithful member of my church. But now, I’ve had to stop working completely. Between hospital stays, fatigue, and intense treatments, I simply can’t keep up — and the bills haven’t stopped.

The Reality I’m Facing:

Even though I’m fighting for my life, the following monthly expenses remain:

• Mortgage: $1,107.72

• ⚡ Electric: $173.00

• Water: $39.85

• Gas, food, & essentials: $515.50

• Transportation to Chapel Hill (gas, Ubers, support): $150+
